the sucess and failed redirects are set in this code:

php:
"successRedirect" => "index.php",

    "failRedirect" => "users_LogIn.php?failed=1",

where it is staying on the login page, it tells me the login is failing.

I need for you to send me the results of running that sql select statement, perhaps you could send a screen shot?

I would also like to know the password you are testing with for this user.

testing the email will be problematic locally, you would need to install an smtp server to test the email on your local server.
