I'm so glad I found this thread. I had sent a couple emails to WA asking many of these questions and never heard back. But I am sure you guys are inundated with emails right now.
Frankly, I don't have too much of an issue with the removal of the Extension Library considering the offerings from WA for credit. Still a little unsure on how much it's going to cost me to upgrade my Super Suite to all current extensions, but I guess I will just have to let the chips fall and start picking the extension upgrades I need most and move on.
BUT! I do have a couple of "wishes" or suggestions to make here.
For me, I think EVERY company should have a section on their forum for banter. Ok, so sometimes it gets a little heated, but we all need that. We, as in your customers. What I mean is there needs to be a place to ask these questions when they come up, or talk about issues that are not related directly to an extension or solution specifically. I know you have a DW section and a PHP section and so on. You know what I mean. A customer relations section. As much as you may try to "sterilize" your forums, it will only make people feel alienated and, you might find them going to other forums to say what they need to get off of their chest anyway.
But my biggest wish is that you could somehow create a premium learning center. Kind of like they have for the NAPP. This would be a member only web site with video tutorials, written tutorials, Q&A forums, Example code, Tips on how to do stuff in PHP and so on. I would gladly pay for this if the content was regularly updated and not in any way open to the general public. Plus, you could offer a free trial membership to those who purchase your products. Because honestly, as much as I love your products most of the time. It can be frustrating trying to figure out how to use a new one. Some of the instructions have improved but there is room for a lot more, and I'm willing to pay for that.
