Validation Toolkit crashing CS5...HELP ME REMOVE IT...

Thread began 7/28/2010 2:01 am by scott382402 | Last modified 7/29/2010 9:37 am by scott382402 | 1066 views | 5 replies

Validation Toolkit crashing CS5...HELP ME REMOVE IT...

So, I tried to install Validation Toolkit 235 on my new CS5. It crashed the CS5 Extension Manager mid-install, and the extension is not showing as an installed extension in the EM. Even better, when I open DW CS5, I now get an error message related to the incompleted attempt to install the Validation Toolkit extension - it says it can't locate the Memento javascript code, which makes sense because the code was never installed (it crashed before then).

I now know ValToolkit 235 isn't CS5 compatible. But, I want the vestiges of it that were installed removed from my CS5, so I don't keep getting the error message on every program start, please.

I'd like to buy the upgraded version, and the web chart extension too. But, I first want to know that WA can fix this. (=

A few other things to note:
1. I'm running CS5 on a Win 7 64-bit box.
2. Deleting to .dat file has no effect; the error still occurs when booting DW.
