I ran into the same exact problem when trying to connect my database that I was using for my local server to the remote server. I have already done the installation wizard through the local host. I updated the 5 or so files:

# install/2.php
# install/scripts/db.sql
# Admin/Update_ProductCoupons.php
# Admin/Products_Results.php
# WA_DataAssist /WA_AppBuilder_PHP.php

I made these updates and then tried to re-upload them to the remote server through FTP software. I am still getting the same error: #1227 - Access denied; you need the SUPER privilege for this operation.

Will I have to completely remove my files from my hosting provider and start over??? This seems a little troublesome, as I have been spending a week or so now adding products and such to my store. Please help me out.

-Mike
