I'm trying to follow the instructions in import_sql.pdf (from WebAssist):

1) I downloaded WebAssists "free ecommerce MySQL database" which is wa_ecommerce_20091112.sql
2) I copied the text from this file and pasted it as indicated.
3) I press the 'go' button

This results in:

SQL query:

CREATE TABLE `optiongroups` (

`OptionGroupName` VARCHAR( 50 ) DEFAULT NULL ,
PRIMARY KEY ( `OptionGroupID` )

MySQL said:

#1046 - No database selected

This of course I do not understand.

You have to create a database which will show up in the left column of the phpMyAdmin. Click on the databases tab and add a database. Then click on the database you created on the left. Then run the query.
