next steps after basic setup

Thanks both of you - I have that set up. (I'm on a Mac but found out how to do it on a Mac.)

Here are the actual steps, in order, for a Mac:

1. Turn off Apache
a. Open your System Preferences.
b. Choose Sharing
c. Make sure Web Sharing is turned off.
2. Install Basic MAMP for MacOSX index.html
a. great video intro at 86-mamp/
3. Set up a PHP/MySQL testing server on your own computer mamp_for_mac.php
4. Define a Dynamic Site in Dreamweaver
5. Establish a datasource connection

I'll ask my questions in the next post.
