PHP5 compatibility

PHP5 compatibility

Posting this here as not sure where else to post it - a client's hosting company has emailed him to say that within the next 48 hours they are upgrading shared hosting to PHP5, so he's asked me if his site is 5-compatible.
The database I created for this is MySQL 5.0, but I have no idea whether the PHP material on this site is vs 4.0, 5.0 or whatever - is it safe to assume that all WA extensions create scripts etc that are valid for the latest version of PHP or do I have some work to do here re-building the site?
Appreciate any guidance/suggestions.
