Increase ID by one every 7 days

John LangerBeta Tester

I have now inserted five records. So I had 5 rows numbered 1 - 5

I then deleted rows 2 and 4. So now I have 3 rows numbered 1, 3 and 5

I've also changed the 7 to 2 in the hope that the list will change every two days rather than 7 (just to speed things up. I did think of making it every 1 day but I thought that dividing by 1 wasn't a good idea (I don't know, maybe it is).

Also the list that was displayed after adding the records was #5. Fine really, as I would want the most recent addition to display.

So I thought I'd add a sixth record. This I did and on refreshing the page NOTHING displayed apart from an empty list.

I added this code to the page thinking that perhaps it's showing record 2 or 4 (now deleted) RecordID = < ?php echo $row_rstopten['topTenListID']; ? > but that also just showed a blank record.

I changed the division number to 4 and still a blank display

I then changed the division number to 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 just to try it
and 3 worked
4 didn't
5 did
6 didn't
7 did
8 didn't
9 didn't
10 did

Then 33 and 56 (both displayed). It seems to me that if the division results in a number that coincides with a deleted record (in this case 2 and 4) then it has nothing to display.

Is there a way round this? The client will (without a doubt) delete records from time to time.

Sorry to put a damper on it.
