In any form of CMS, the user needs to ability to easily change the order of their data records.

I agree.

To be fair, this is very easy to do with Data Assist and a field in your database table that stores the order of the record.

To be even fairer, if you are going to say that it's 'very easy' then it would be nice if you gave the very easy explanation of how this is done for the benefit of users who bought the current extensions understanding that no special technical knowledge is required. Remember also that we are talking about what a future release should include. Fortunately, it seems that the proposed Data Grid will make record ordering easy for the end user without extra technical input from the developer - negating the need for them to look beyond WebAssist to the many software and extension utilities that do this already. I believe that there will - at some point - be no need for any of us to look beyond WebAssist for any essential functionality (apart from the CFSP :) )

One thing that I hope though, is that Data Assist 3 allows us to create forms that are not styled with the cumbersome CSS that CSS Form Builder creates, because that prevents me from using the extension. It's just too chunky.

How about a clean form with minimal CSS?

Yes, that should (and will) definitely be high in the list of features to be included in the 'Road Map' manifesto. WebAssist has taken that on board, acknowledging the high demand for a lighter, bloat-free version of FormBuilder. See Ray's reply to a post here.
