CSS Menu Writer Nav hiding under embeded pdf using an object tag

More info on the issue

I wanted to put the embedded pdf right up under the main navigation but couldn't see any of the drop downs as they were hidden under the embedded pdf. So I tried to move the embedded area further down the page kind of out of reach from the pdf , but that doesn't seem like a good solution either since people will just have to really scroll to see the content.

Right now you can see the hiding of the drop down under the About Us nav button.

I am also going to embed some Flash into the main content area. Am I also going to run into the same problem with the Flash?

Thanks to any and all who can help!
