I have only been a member since last year and I have to agree with what alot has been said.
I have had great support from Jason, Ray and Jimmy in the past.
So much so I fed that back.
Then other times you get 2 line replies on a forum.
For example I may have an issue which I know in my head how in theory it should work.
I then post that hoping to be able to be helped through implimenting this using the extensions but then get this would require custom coding or how to do it but with no coding help to impliment.
I have a background of Windows Server Support and had some basic web design but wanted to get more involved with programming dynamic sites as this was always something i was asked. Looking around i needed the quickest way to get up to scratch and Dreamweaver along with the extensions done that for me.
However I am learning in the background as I go along and using other forums and books however when your running a business and providing support then it becomes difficult to learn PHP/SQL queries to get the job done that i hoped the extensions would have done for me.
Alot of the stuff is great but I do think the support needs to be more consistent with their answers or take alot of common issues users have and produce more in depth help guides.
the help guides are great for getting started but in real terms you need more than what is provided to get a true dynamic site with queries working to produce the end result.
Anyway I just thought i would give me feedback as i hope it can improve. I think though for a free support its great which is why i bought into the extensions library. Just more in depth how to guides and better responses to help the user deliver using the extensions would be great.
