Redraft the license?
Wow. As a long-time WebAssist customer, I was investigating their latest CMS release as a potential product for a new client project.
But finding out that the license is good for just one site stopped me in my tracks.
With all the other light CMS products out there (CushyCMS, ContentSeed, WebYep, PageLime, and Unify, and more), why would I pay $100.00 per site for this?
The only other product I mentioned in this price range is ContentSeed. As I recall they allow unlimited sites (and may even support other servers than PHP) for their price?
While it appears that WebAssist may need to adjust their licensing terms to protect themselves from abuse by ISPs and the like, their terms need to reflect reality and the current market.
Perhaps, for this and similar "solutions," they need to redraft the license to protect themselves - yet better serve their developer customers?
