iRite vs HTML Editor problem

Steve Skinner

I too am disappointed with the ASP server model being dropped with the HTML Editor. I bought it only because it was offered to me as an "upgrade" from iRite. Considering that, it makes perfect sense that the new version would be backward compatible with iRite, at least with the supported server models right?

I can't say I think much of the way Webassist handles their customers....

Anyway, I wanted let others who manage ASP sites for clients that there is another good option to DMXZone's Html Editor and it's from Dwzone-it.com, and they call it wysiwyg editor. It's also based on FCKEditor and it's very powerful. I have actually found it more useful than iRite ever was.

I also got duped with the "upgrade" for Universal Email too. I've been using that happily for long time but I thought I was doing the smart thing by purchasing the upgrade, but then again, finding out that it ONLY supports PHP.

I've requested a refund. We'll see how long that takes. I'd only be too happy to file a dispute on record with Paypal for this waste of my time.

WebAssist, it would have been nice if you'd let customers know that you're abandoning the ASP server model. In the mean time, I'll happily spread the word in all the forums and user groups I participate in...
