I'm a previous ADDT user too, and will add that while webassist tools are harder to get a grasp of initially (you need to know a little about php at least) they have proven to be better overall for me. ADDT was sooooooooo HEAVY, and in comparison web assist tools are extremely light weight.

Using ADDT meant that you had to upload an excrutiating amount of files to your web server and it DID slow things down. That was my main gripe with ADDT.

Once you have been using the web assist tools for a while and have mastered them more, you too will realise that they are much more versatile and actually do a better job overall.

This isnt intended as an advert for web assist, but just try giving things a chance and have some patience before being so critical.
