  New scenario:

  1. Business owner buys PowerStore for $200
  2. Does not buy Dreamweaver
  3. Does not buy tools
  4. Does not learn how to use them

Business owner has an e-commerce site for $200 without investing in tools or time.

It is no longer a level playing field.

We differ a bit here, OfficeGuy, because to be frank and honest, I don't see the difference between this and ZenCart or those other freebie commerce OpenStudio packages around.

Because you have gone through the painstaking process of figuring out how all of our tools work together

Actually, I didn't. I saw how they worked together in PowerCMS etc.

however someone else might have a hard time creating a form with data-assist and trying to apply validation after the fact, or the exact steps necessary to apply securityAssist to protect a page over there.

Well ... that goes right back to what I stated earlier (in the other thread). WebAssist was kind enough to provide a Validation Toolkit along with SecurityAssist etc, and I worked through that. That's what taught me. And having been through that "job", I learned a very great deal.

If a wizard had you enter those details and created the site and database for you, we could concentrate on documenting how the tools can be used in creative ways instead of documenting the process of tying them all together.

This is another thing you yourself have asked for in terms of documentation.

No. That is not what I asked for, actually. Someone else might have, but I did not. I tried to be very clear what I was asking for, and if you think that's what I asked for, then you completely misunderstood me, but that is by the by. I obviously failed to be clear.

I guess we are creating competition for our existing developers in that way

Well ... here's one person for you who, thanks to you, has been able to circumvent a developer (up until now).

[QUOTE=Ray Borduin;50356]I am not frustrated. I am quite happy. I just don't understand why you are trying not to increase the number of happy people like me. Answer: because you are trying to make more other people, not like me, happy. Good ludk to you. Hoping it works out.

I understand all of the underlying technology,

And one day, so will I.

Books are a good idea, but online resources and playing with the pre-generated code by webassist would probably be faster.

Please try to keep it that way. Thanks.
Bye now.
