DataAssist is VERY slow on a very nice machine...??

Can I please get you to show me a screen shot of how you have your testing server setup? When I try and use anything other than actual file path with a drive letter Dreamweaver returns an error. I'm happy to accept the fact that I'm doing it incorrectly or that there is another way but I'm just not seeing it. A screen shot would help a lot if you don't mind. I'd really appreciate it.

I do appreciate your volunteer support. Sorry for sounding otherwise.

When I said "DataAssist is slow" I simply meant this particular extension is slow. I'd love to figure out a different config that makes it work better. Again, sorry for sounding otherwise.

When I made the statement that it won't work without the mapped drive letter that is simply my experience in trying to set it up any other way. Dreamweaver won't accept it. If you can show me a screenshot of something different that does work I'd love to give it a try.

This problem I'm having has nothing to do with understanding dynamic development. The most novice user could click on Insert -> WebAssist -> DataAssist -> DataAssist Wizard and from that moment on (in my experience based on my config apparently) it takes a good 10 min. for it to look over the DB, see what tables and field it'll be working, and move on to the next step. The extensions does work just fine, but that first series of reviewing the DB is what takes a long time for me.

I really am sorry if I ruffled your feathers. That was not my intention. I myself spend a LOT of time answering questions for people in the PayPal developer forums ( so I can understand your frustration with assumptions and all of that. I apologize for sounding unappreciative.

Again, if you could send me a screenshot I'd really appreciate it as finding a solution to this problem would lift some frustration off my shoulders. Thanks!
