What I want, though, is to find answers to my problems

Don't we all.

... rarely have I come across a support system as thorough, immediate and helpful as the one provided here.

The discussion was about how to make things better.

Photoshop (for example) is software that helps - and speeds up productivity for - designers. You need to spend time understanding how it works though, so there is a learning curve.

This goes round in circles. The discussion was about how to help people get up that curve faster, and more productively, through using WebAssist products so that WebAssist products could be used faster and better.

Everything has some learning curve. When the curve seems too steep, you ask for or look for help.

This is again going round in circles. The idea of this entire thread was to see what could be done to reduce the amount of help required, and to move the need to ask for help further away from the actual purchase of the products. Again, so they can be more productively used.

  Zend Studio

Acutally, it is a free download with a free trial period. So I got it and downloaded it to see if it would help. As a beginning programmer, I kept on making lots of stupid mistakes like missed semicolons and brackets and ra-ra-ra. It picked up everyone. That meant that the only thing I then had to contend with was logical flow and overall strategizing. It greatly improved my productivity. I tried living without it for about three weeks when it expired.

Perhaps we need Zen Studio instead. I would have thought reverse engineering with Zend was an extreme way to go to get up and running.

My point EXACTLY. I really could not have put it better.

A person should not have to purchase an expensive toy like that in order to understand then nature of WebAssist products and to get them to help him do what they are designed to do. WebAssist and WebAssist products should make it clear. But without it ... I would not have a working shopping cart, and I would not have been able to do what I have just done, which is work out how to get Validation Toolkit to allow me set up a form so that a person can give me EITHER their cell phone number OR their landline number but MUST give me one, and need not give me both. I could not have figured that out without Zend Studio, but I saw from the forums after I had derived my solution that I am not the only person who wishes that WebAssist's Validation Toolkit would do conditional validations. Even to be able to express my problem in that way, so it can find a solution, is something I have been forced to learn since purchasing these products. I accept that conditional validation is not exactly a beginning programming task, but I could not do even simple and basic things when I first purchased these products.
Bye again.
