This would be it Eric...

The following code is on the home page of the site and it's the form for the newsletter opt-in. The name simply doesn't want to verify and this is where the previous images show the problem.

I tried creating a completely new hand coded form for a different site I'm working on and the same thing happened. For the previous issues of the requires not showing I had to remove the extension, reload and remove the dreamweaver "cache file" for CS4. It still didn't help with this problem. copy and paste from a working one did the trick.

<div id="optinRight">
<p class="claim">CLAIM YOUR FREE NEWSLETTER</p>
<p class="access">GET INSTANT ACCESS TO THE TOP TEN REASONS WHY PEOPLE FAIL
TO GET REALLY GOOD AT SURFING</p>
<form action="index.php" method="post" name="newsForm" id="newsForm" onsubmit="WAValidateAN(document.getElementById('newsForm').newsName,document.getElementById('newsForm').newsName.value,'- Invalid character in Name',true,false,true,false,'\'',document.getElementById('newsForm').newsName,0,true);WAValidateRQ(document.newsForm.newsName,'- Name is required',document.newsForm.newsName,0,false,'text');WAValidateEM(document.getElementById('newsForm').email,document.getElementById('newsForm').email.value,'- Invalid email address',document.getElementById('newsForm').email,0,true);WAValidateRQ(document.newsForm.email,'- Email is required',document.newsForm.email,0,false,'text');WAAlertErrors('The following errors were found','Correct invalid entries to continue',true,document.getElementById('false'),false);return document.MM_returnValue">
<input id="newsName" name="newsName" maxlength="75" value="name" type="text">
<input id="newsEmail" name="email" maxlength="75" value="email" type="text">
<input name="sendNewsletter" id="sendNewsletter" value="" type="submit">
</form>
<p class="disclaimer">Your personal information will be kept private and will not be shared with third parties</p>
</div>

Off topic. You mentioned you were able to look into my code for the page. How do you feel my code is? Is it clean and semantic or do I still need a lot more improvement? I'm learning everyday, just wondering where I stand right now. :confused:

Anyway, about the error. I'll be on the lookout for your reply.
