syntax error, unexpected T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE

Thread began 2/16/2010 7:49 pm by contact318852 | Last modified 2/17/2010 12:19 pm by contact318852 | 1600 views | 1 replies

syntax error, unexpected T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE

I am getting Parse errors using css form builder on existing forms with select menus.

I have removed all previous validations before running the wizzard but on each select menu I receive this error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE, expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or T_NUM_STRING on line 431

here is a smaple code that the css form builder produced..

<option value="<?php echo $row_WADADynListlocations['City']?>" <?php if (!(strcmp("<?php echo $row_WADADynListlocations['City']?>", (isset($_GET["invalid"])?ValidatedField("gigInsert","location"):"")))) {echo "selected=\"selected\"";} ?>><?php echo$row_WADADynListlocations['City']?></option>

Any help in finding the coding error would be appreciated.

I downloaded a syntax checker and it highlighted the php tagjust before the if (!strcmp("<?php echo

so my code now looks like this and does not produce a syntax error
<option value="<?php echo $row_WADADynListlocations['City']?>" if (!(strcmp("<?php echo $row_WADADynListlocations['City']?>", (isset($_GET["invalid"])?ValidatedField("gigInsert","location"):"")))) {echo "selected=\"selected\"";}><?php echo $row_WADADynListlocations['City']?></option>
