Thank you for reporting the activation issue on Mac. It is not expected, so we will log that as a bug.
I thought we had fixed that body editing issue as well. I am familiar with that bug in the previous version. We will have to look into it further on the mac it appears. Thanks again.
To address your fear: "many non-technical users will overlook this and not get the product to work"... I assume you are talking about the mail object settings. Most of these toolbar settings are often not necessary. We have found that 90% of the hosts already have the mail object information in the php.ini, so those settings can be left blank. We actually had problems with non-technical users when exposing those settings that people would put in values that would make it not work when in fact it would have worked if they just left them blank.
It is an interesting idea or suggestion to create the database on the live server. The current version, as you point out, will use DW and your local connection to update the database. We could probably build database creation code into the runtime like it is in HTML Editor. We will investigate that feature in the future in our products since we are trying to start creating the database for the user as well as a general concept.
We did struggle with the UI for auto-creation of a starting point file. You can of course browse to any file in your site if you would like to use that to send an email, but we also wanted to give you a couple of starting point files in case you wanted to do something very quickly or needed a starting point to help understand how to add the form.
Suggestions on how we could improve that label or usability of that feature are greatly appreciated as well.
