descriptions disappear

Thanks. I'm confounded by this. The URL is here so you can see the descriptions:

This is a temporary gallery until the online store is set up but I daren't use powercart until I solve this. At the moment I'm using a lightbox and separate script on other sites and want to use powergallery on them as the front end is so much cleaner and intuitive for the client. The install wizard is ultra simple and this has to be something simple causing the problem. In both instances of installation I did a bulk upload of images and made the edits no problem and checked the changes. It was when I handed over to the client and they used the single image upload that it went pear-shaped. Could it be related to something about the 2 upload methodologies conflicting in terms of their path to the database? I note there was something related to that in another post.
