1) The XLS File is not intended for you to use populate with your product information, then convert to a sql script to upload to the mySQL Database. You should update the database directly or use DataAssist to create an Admin Back end for managing your database:

that talks about converting xls data to MySQL.

2) to have product options, create the size and color columns in the eCart object, make sure to set them to be unique.

Then when adding the add to cart buttons to he page, set those columns to be updatabel from a select list.

This will add the select lists to the page, you can populate the select lists with the appropriate values.
