installation help for power store

Thread began 1/10/2010 2:51 am by michaelgreen252387183 | Last modified 1/13/2010 1:33 am by michaelgreen252387183 | 5488 views | 22 replies

So, your local site is defined as: C:\Users\michael\Documents\spotxxxx\

But the error message is saying that a page can't be found at: file:///C|/Users/michael/AppData/Local/Temp/wz88ce/WA_Globals/WA_Globals.php

I think the problem therefore lies in some confusion over local site and testing server.*

All that may be necessary is to redefine your site in Dreamweaver, making sure that you don't specify a testing server. You can then simply edit the localhost.php, and WA_Globals (which you now know how to do) and then use Dreamweaver to send it to your remote server, using a fresh copy of PowerStore.

Should we go that way? If so, lets do it step by step. Post back if OK

When this is all over and your site is up and running, it would still be a good idea to get someone to help you set up a working testing server, as you will find it useful on other occasions.

* Which is exactly what Office Guy said right back at the beginning before I stuck my big fat oar in. Sorry, OG.
