Help with Verify Form field Information

Hey Eric,
Thanks you for the continuous support. Everything seems to work well now but for the fact that the userEmailPW page can be access directly without necessarily passing through the verify.php page if I use this script below

  <?php if ($totalRows_your_RS > 0) { // if recordset not empty
if(!session_id()) session_start();
$_SESSION['your var'] = 1
header("Location: your_email_password_page.php");

But, if I place the script below at the top of the userEmailPW page as you previously proposed, one cannot access the userEmailPW page without first going through the verify.php page and if one is trying to access the userEmailPW page directly, s/he is redirected back to verify.php page. This is good. But there is one problem with this script, even if one enters the correct information that matches that in the database, one is not redirected to the to the userEmailPW page as was expected. It remains in the verify.php page.
I prefer this method, and I will need your help to further improve this script so that when the entered information match that found in the database, one is then redirect to the userEmailPW page.

  <?php if(!isset($_SESSION['sent']) || $_SESSION['sent'] != '1'){
header("Location: verify.php");

Merry Christmas
