PayPal Standard IPN Response Record Update and Email Problem

Thread began 12/11/2009 4:46 pm by Kevin373660 | Last modified 12/21/2009 2:29 pm by Kevin373660 | 2443 views | 18 replies

Stuck on updating the table that holds the access codes. I have a column for the order status, and another that holds the orderID. The confirm page stores the order data before going to pp in three tables orders, detailorders, accesscodes.

"So long as you have the same order id number it will update the existing or or order details." A third table is used to store and activate the codes.

The IPN page currently is updating the order status from the pp post. Each pass is stored on a separate row of the table with the same orderID.

Then how would I also update the column in each of the rows in the accesscode table that are related to the orderID? I can barly keep awake so I am a little fuzz on this although we have done this before. I see the insert Server Behavior-eCart-Database manipulation-Store Cart Details in Database, but do I just use a Update Record Server behavior, will it update each row that has the same orderID because of the FK relationship?
