can't create /Connections/powergallery.php

Justin Nemeth

I appreciate everyone's help on this thread, but I wanted to point out a few things. It is not recommended to create these files manually and bypass the install wizard. The install wizard's job is to do some server checks, create the database structure, and create all these file for you. If the install wizard isn't working, the admin won't work either. The best approach is to troubleshoot why the installer isn't working in the first place.

If the install is failing to write files, that usually means 1 of 2 things. First, the powergallery directory should have write access. Assuming that is set up, the next thing is PHP safe mode. If safe mode is enabled, its possible that files/directories can't be created.

@su353248 is safe mode on for you server and you just aren't allowed to change that?
