Known Issue: "Toolbar 'Custom' does not exist!" and Work Around

Thread began 10/22/2009 6:49 pm by Jason Byrnes | Last modified 3/07/2010 8:54 am by Jason Byrnes | 5203 views | 21 replies

Working with it further today, I am really frustrated. While the editor instance has improved, it seems we have lost ground on some other things compared to iRite unless there is something I am not getting. If there is something I am not getting, my apologies. I'm trying.

Dynamic values are handled wrong and if I call it "bio_".$cnt1, the editor interface disappears so I am back to cutting and pasting that name, but if I call it "bio_$cnt1" it works fine until I apply styles. Then there are $ signs in the file names which cause problems, and editing the settings becomes impossible.

I looked at the preset and the style data as well as the instance name, "bio_" or "bio_$cnt1", is included in the preset. The preset should only be generic information for the editor, not which form field it applies to.

RIght now, to get by, I have manually edited the preset to get rid of the $cnt1 and will give it a try, but if I have to have a preset called "site 1 bio_" and another called "site 1 description_" and another called "site 1 article1_" and another called "site 1 article2_", etc well you can see where I am going.

I will update the support ticket and I look forward to hearing from them. I'm sure we can get through this...
