  Hiya,

Yes - it looks as though we even use the same web hosting providers (UKServers)!

Here is what my code looks like: (I have left out my password and changed some details):
<?php
# FileName="Connection_php_mysql.htm"
# Type="MYSQL"
# HTTP="true"
$hostname_localhost = "localhost";
$database_localhost = "uks66xxx";
$username_localhost = "uks66xxx";
$password_localhost = "XXXXXXXX";
$localhost = mysql_pconnect($hostname_localhost, $username_localhost, $password_localhost) or trigger_error(mysql_error(),E_USER_ERROR);
?

This is the final configuration that will be uploaded to the web server.

My connection for my local machine testing server is similar:
<?php
# FileName="Connection_php_mysql.htm"
# Type="MYSQL"
# HTTP="true"
$hostname_localhost = "localhost";
$database_localhost = "mydatabase";
$username_localhost = "root";
$password_localhost = "mypassword";
$localhost = mysql_pconnect($hostname_localhost, $username_localhost, $password_localhost) or trigger_error(mysql_error(),E_USER_ERROR);
?>

If you are with UKServers, and if you use the default provided database settings, your database and username will probably both be uks47018 and the password is likely to be the same as your control panel login; but if you created a new database or new user, they will be appended by a suffix (i.e. uks47018newdb uks47018newuser).

If in doubt about your password, go to your control panel and create a new user and password.

Post back if you need more help!

Thanks neil, its a small world both using UKservers. A great simple cheap company, i seem to think.

Thanks for your reply, i managed to get the header for the index page up, and when I clicked on a link it was looking for a different directory, with the PowerStore 200/ etc

THis is what im getting after moving the files out of the folder,
PowerStore200 copy/WA_Globals/WA_Globals.php

So it still doesnt like it, but I obviously dont want the website to have any reference to PowerStore200 in the URL?

Where have I gone wrong now?

Thanks in advance!
