Captcha Font color not changing

Thread began 10/28/2009 9:38 am by asnw0764437428 | Last modified 11/13/2009 2:59 am by asnw0764437428 | 9545 views | 28 replies

Captcha text color not changing

I have narrowed the problem down (I think) My customers websites are held on one server with PHP Version 5.2.10 and GD Library version 2.0.34 compatible and the Captcha script does not work at all.
My site is held on a server with PHP Version 4.4.1 and GD Library version 2.0.28 compatible, and the Captcha Script works as it should.

This is the only difference between the 2 servers. With no alterations to the original Captcha pages from WA

Is there some sort of workaround for this, for seems to be the issue.??

Additional note: Just searched on the net for any suggestions on what could be the problem. Noticed on a Drupal forum that some people have had a similar issue, whereby the characters disappear or the color does not change but using another Captcha script from elsewhere. The coincidence seems to be with the PHP Version 5.2.10

I would really appreciate any help on this as I am considering throwing in the towel with this script.
