HTML editor: please, can you fix that ugly Times in dialog boxes?

Thread began 10/23/2009 6:59 am by ivanhalen12190 | Last modified 3/21/2013 4:57 pm by ivanhalen12190 | 2430 views | 13 replies

By making the change to the Javascript that I suggested, you actually don't change any css... what happens is that the image dialogue boxes will inherit the font of the skin (which they normally do in a standalone FCKeditor installation). If you notice, the font in the tabs of the dialogue box (in the silver/default theme) is skinned with I believe Microsoft San Serif. So, the change to the javascript will then force the rest of the dialogue's plain text to also use the skin font throughout.

If your goal is to make the dialogue boxes completely editable - in other words, give users the option to decide the fonts used throughout the editor, this is done within each skin. For example, you would go to (again, the Mac path is what I have): (user)/Library/Application Support/Adobe/DreamweaverCS4/en_US/Configuration/Shared/WebAssist/RichTextEditor/Source/editor/skins/silver/fck_dialog.css

I chose the silver theme arbitrarily, but you'll get the idea of where the dialog css is. Now, keep in mind -- this location of the file is before it is actually placed into any sites... so a change here would alter the appearance of the skin's dialog boxes in all new deployments. You could, however, go to the same css file, once it is put into the site and make it editable - it would be located at: (from site root) HTMLeditor/editor/skins/silver/fck_dialog.css.

But again, without the change in the javascript as mentioned previously, it won't correctly pull the css throughout the entire dialogue boxes.

Best regards,
