Thanks to you both for the information. I will go look at MAMP Pro. I think that most of my frustration with dynamic development, as I learn it, comes from the confusion I face with the testing server. I get stuff working great locally, and then when I try to move it to the remove server, I have to troubleshoot stuff.
Not only that, but the paths are so long locally. So this might help me a lot. I never really looked to see what the differences were between the free version and the Pro version. I think I some some obvious differences in your settings.

Hopefully once I get the Pro version installed, and I changed the port settings, I can figure out what to change within my current site settings.

On the subject, is there any advantage to having my local site files withing the User/Sites folder compared to where I have them now. (Desktop/WebSites). I stared doing that several years ago to make backing up easy and it just stuck. But that was before I started working on dynamic development and testing servers.

Thanks,
TroyD
