Several sites hacked - can I use newer version of PHP now?

Thread began 3/09/2021 9:46 am by LWag48648773 | Last modified 3/31/2021 3:10 pm by LWag48648773 | 649 views | 28 replies

I have to create a new database? I can't do another with the same name. Last night I had this same situation after I somehow deleted a whole directory in my hack cleaning up process. I setup a new database and put a 2 at the end of the name. I exported from the first one and imported into the 2nd one. Even though I got a bunch of errors telling me tables already existed, the info populated. Then I ran the setup and everything appeared on the pages. From what you've said previously, there is an easier way but I'm lost. So sorry I have so many questions. I seldom deal with any of this database stuff anymore. Thank you!
