usage issues

I will download PowerMessenger directly from my Download Page in my Webassist account, and then upload it TWICE using Dreamweaver. Once will be for my new project which is into the same domain as PowerCMS. For that I am quite happy to create a completely new database.

However, I also need to upload PowerMessenger and then do a new install in a new folder my primary domain. This already has data, users, and Mailings in a current database.

Should I really create a brand new database? This will then hold noghing. I know I use Navicat to transfer all user data over from an old database into a new one, but how do I preserve my old Mailings … in particular the new one I have prepared to sen out?

Would it be OK to reference that old database in the new install and use that? Then I preserve all my data? Otherwise, could you infoirm me which tables I need to copy data from for my Mailings and anything else critical?

Thank you,
