KFM File manager hangs when trying to browse server

Thread began 12/20/2012 8:33 am by sean366869 | Last modified 5/25/2020 10:09 am by sean366869 | 7994 views | 46 replies

I am having this issue with File manager in that I am unable to upload any images.

When I go to Server Settings in Power CMS, I see the option that says "Image Upload Folder". When I click the folder icon next to it to browse folders upon the server, it hangs and I get a wheel that goes round and round indefinitely. When I click that folder icon a second time the wheel stops going round and I can hit the save button to preserve the same folder name.

I can read the name, and I have FTPed to the relevant location and ensured that the folder has all possible permissions for read and write.

When I instead choose a Content Area to edit and click the icon to insert an image,I get an Image Properties dialogue box that allows me to "Browse Server". When I click that button, I am presented with the File manager and its options. I then browse the local folder and select an image.

Things look promising when I select an image because the location data is automatically filled in, and so I press the "Upload" button.

Unfortunately, that promptly deletes the load information and I get a message telling me that there is no file chosen.

I have tried every button until the cows come home, but nothing ever happens and nothing uploads.

I would be grateful for some indication as to what I am doing wrong. I have bried Chrome, Edge, and Safari, all on Windows, and all producing the same result. The remedies provided higher up in this thread are either irrelevant because the script directives do not exist, or else because they are already in place correctly.

Thank you,
