Francois

Sorry, I'm not so good with script, could you clarify please.
Leave the code as it is on the page but add a script at the end? Like so does not work.
<script type="text/javascript">
function onchange() {framework_load_plugin_url('plugins/childCountriesPro.php',document.getElementById('UserUpdate_Basic_Default'),'childCountriesSelect','../','');return document.MM_returnValue;}
</script>
Thanks.
=================
I've been playing around and am soooo happy I got it to work!
I've left the code on the profile page but added onfocus="loadstates()" to the select country
At the bottom of the page, I defined the function and added a refocus:
<script>
function loadstates(){
framework_load_plugin_url('plugins/childCountriesPro.php',document.getElementById('UserUpdate_Basic_Default'),'childCountriesSelect','../','');return document.MM_returnValue;
}
document.getElementById("User_Update_group_14_Country").focus();
</script>

Also had to add the MySQLi Recordset SecurityAssistusers to the state page to select the state:
<option value="<?php echo($rsStates->getColumnVal("State")); ?>" <?php if (!(strcmp($rsStates->getColumnVal("State"), $SecurityAssistusers->getColumnVal("State")))) {echo "selected=\"selected\"";} ?>><?php echo($rsStates->getColumnVal("State")); ?></option>

If you have a simpler more beautiful solution, please let me know... Thanks
