userupdate page / using 'Double Opt In' - page error

Ok so the emailconfirm page now works as it should but what I can't seem to get right now is what gets displayed on the userupdate page. there is two possible options.

Firstly the update form which is accessed from the ‘members drop down’ in the main nav when the user is logged in.

https://www.lease-assn.org/members/userupdate.php

but at the moment if the page is accessed the update form doesn’t show. the current show region for the form is “Show if recordset is NOT empty” which is built on the session id from login.

Secondly if the verify link is clicked a second time. then the message which is in the “Not a verified user” show region should display. But instead Im just getting the “No Record” display for the update form.

Im a bit confused also about the different possible scenarios with this. For example if the user changes their email address how is this handled with verification. because this is slightly different than what the tutorial calls an “Expired Link”. Incidentally does the link actually expire or is it just that the user has already clicked the link. In which case they are then verified and can now login so they have know need to click again.

Help!
I need a beer!
Thanks in advance!
