I am trying to set up a MySQLi Server Behaviors Dynamic List/Menu

I am trying to set up a MySQLi Server Behaviors Dynamic List/Menu

My problem is when I am trying to do the step "Use the Select value equal to field and associated dynamic data button to set the value your list/menu will be by default when the page loads." When I click on the "bind to dynamic source" it brings up the popup window to make the selections, but when I click on the record set, it doesn't do anything, it doesn't display a list of fields to pick from, it just does a spinning blue circle next to my pointer for a second and than does nothing. I have attached two images to show as far as I can progress. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? or what could be causing this issue?
