DW CS6 and TLS 1.2 will no longer work together in most cases

Thread began 6/26/2018 6:09 pm by TroyD | Last modified 6/29/2018 1:44 pm by TroyD | 353 views | 16 replies

Thanks to Ray, this issue has been resolved.

It turns out that this version of DW (CS6) does not work with TLS 1.2 if trying to connect securely.
Since the sites where I was having difficulty connecting to the databases are SSL configured sites, I added some rewrite rules in the .htaccess file that forces https. This meant that DW, while trying to establish a connection, was forced to use https. Normally that wouldn't be an issue but since this server has been updated to use ONLY TLS 1.2 for secure connections, this won't work.

So, what Ray did was add an exception to the rule so that DW could connect to the connection script by using http
This is the line he added within my condition;
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/_mmServerScripts/.*$

Now, I have my site connection set to just use the FTP and http . It connects and I now have access to the databases through the Behavior Panel.

Thanks Ray!!
