Not being sarcastic - I said you were starting to sound like a troll. I assumed that you seriously didn't know that there were other browsers available for free, despite my suspicions that you were just trying to get a reaction.
Not for any of us to decide if a rule has been broken. That is the decision of those running the forum.
You can't post in a public forum with the expectation of having a private conversation. Phil's post pointing out that he disagreed with your logic was completely appropriate. Your personal attack on Phil was not.
Yes deleting your comment resulted in losing your view of Phil, but did not take anything away from the discussion of IE6. Deleting an inappropriate post does not make anyone a lier or dishonest.
You are getting your facts mixed-up:
Troll is not my definition.
Forums are not "Speak and comment only if you are asked".
No one said that your comment was deleted on the grounds that it is a troll.
You don't get more Dreamweaver users by moving backwards.
Your statement that nobody knows WebAssist is just wrong. You might be interested in reading what PayPal (Internet payment service) has to say (It starts with "It’s easy to see why WebAssist, a provider of software tools that help designers and developers create web applications, has grown rapidly since its founding in 1999")
There are lots of demonstrations of the WebAssist extensions on the WA site. My suggestion still stands that you get someone to help you install a modern browser so you can see them. If your equipment is too old to support a modern browser, ask your parents if they will buy you a new computer. You can get them pretty cheap this days and they will come with a newer browser already installed.
