upload image darkens the picture

Hi

When I upload an image using DA 'file manipulation | upload file', the images upload (and are resized successfully, where appropriate).

However, on comparing the uploaded image with the original, the uploaded version is darker (as are all the resized thumbnails)

As I'm trying to develop a photography site, this is quite important!

So, as a test, I uploaded the image using Dreamweaver, and that version is unchanged.

To compare the two, please see:

Original, correct, version uploaded using Dreamweaver ftp: http://sweens.uk/lr/Ang022.jpg

darker version, uploaded using DA file upload: http://sweens.uk/img/mainpics/Ang022.jpg

Be grateful if anyone can make any suggestions.

Cheers
Chris
