Just an update on my previous post. There is a user table in the security assist solution recepie files not in the database starter kit. When you download the recipie files, there is a folder called "datasources". In this folder there is a file called recipies.sql This .sql files comes with a variety of sample tables you can use in your databases.
To use this you will have to.
1.Have mysql installed on your computer already.
2.Install mysql gui tools on your computer (the mysql website has free download)
3.open the mysql administrator and log in using your mysql username and password. Your connection should be "localhost", if testing server is on your computer. e.g. apache
4 On the left panel of mysql administrator you should see a icon called "restore"
Note: You must create your database first before you can use this feature. To do this click the icon on the left panel called catalogs. On the bottom left you will see a default database. Right click on blank white space in that area and click "create new schema". Create your new database.
5.click on this icon and on the bottom right of the restore page you should see a "open backup file button"
6.click on this and a pop up window will allow to navigate your files. Select the recipie.sql where you saved it.
7. set the "target schema" to "another schema" and select your newly created database.
8. You can Ignore the "options" field for now.
9. Set the character set to "latin 1"
10. Now click "start restore".
this will populate you new database with loads of helpful tables for many scenarios. It also has the coveted "user" table.
Hope this helps
