Thanks, to be honest I may use my settings table to store other generic things for sitewide usage. so I could place the recordset inside a global php file thats loaded in all pages. Otherwise will go with the session direction :)

Side note: I mentioned a bug which i didn't replicate in this instance....I am thinking now that the bug occurred when I had copied/pasted the code directly into the ecart object interface (rather than using the lightening bolt) But I could be wrong. I need to replicate the bug as when it occurred a while ago, I had a synax error in one of the webassist ecart library files (which obviously I never interesting that there was a syntax error in there).
