power gallery server upload not seeing files in folder

I am trying to import a folder full of files without doing a single upload at a time. I upload the folder to my site. I used the "server upload" tab to point to the fold that I want PG2 to import the files from. The browse sees the folder, but when I click on the actual folder with the files, I get the error message "Image Folder does not exist! Click here to start over". When I click on the browse button, the folder is listed with the correct number of jpg files inside it.
