Paypal Advanced transaction not posting to the website database

I am using ecart 5.0.7 on a client's ecommerce website that is linked to Paypal Advanced for payments. The store has been working perfectly for the last couple of years. Recently, a purchase was made via the website and the payment info was recorded to Paypal, but the transaction did not get entered into the website database. The only thing that has changed recently was a new SSL certificate for the domain, no coding changes on any of the store related pages. The website store is :
