How to send a form on page load

Finally for the cart working. The only issue I have is that if you remember, I need to send the value of 'Paid' to the database to update the database table which gives the user permissions to access certain pages. At the moment I have placed a small form with a hidden field and a submit button labelled 'Activate Membership' on the 'checkout_success' page. this uses an 'Update Record' behaviour. This works OK but ideally I would like the value to be sent automatically when the page loads. So there is no physical action required from the user. I tried using the 'before page load' as the trigger with just the hidden field in the form, but once the page is loaded it sends a BLANK value to the database and wipes the previous value.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong here.

Any pointers please!
