No problem Ray - I understand completely, and wouldn't expect this one to get too bogged down. I'm actually using a fairly new tool Pencil Case to make the app, and am chatting with them too. Although I have gotten it working when someone registers on the app and that gets added to the database correctly, I haven't managed to get anything going the other way yet.

So have taken it back to the simplest example of just using the request to grab any string from the web server. I'll see if I can get that working at least first, which has nothing to do with the database connection side of things, and go from there.

Thanks for having a look yesterday though.
