Data connections

I am a prospective customer.

I've watched a few videos and read a couple tutorials, yet the answers to the questions below are still unclear:

1.difference between data bridge and mysqli extension (besides db's added features not directly related to db access),
2. can I use cs 5 (video used 6)?,
3.can I buy mysqli product and buy super suite later if mysqli works (since I want the ecart too)?
4. I know you don't support PDO yet, but I assume your data bridge will use the mysqli syntax. Do we have a choice between procedural and object-oriented? (I'm just starting to use the object approach).
5. Is PDO on your todo list? The forum answers are inconclusive.

Thank you
