Unknown column 'ColumnName' in 'order clause'

I seem to be missing something in creating linked headers for sorting. After following the Sorting by Column Links directions (Started over 4 times with different errors) I have come to adding one column to sort (keeping it as simple as possible to track down the error) and I am at a point where I have Listing Price as a sort link on the header, but am getting the error
Unknown column 'WADALAHomes.MLS' in 'order clause'
When I remove the Sort and Binding and clean up what is left behind when you remove these, it works just fine. So I'm baffled why this won't work, no matter what I try, in the end it is the same error. The MLS column.
Has anyone else run into this, I did check the forums, but haven't found it.
Thank you to anyone that can enlighten me. :)
