Dynamic Dropdown - used in conjunction with 'select value equal to'....

Thread began 10/25/2011 5:12 am by Demetri | Last modified 5/29/2014 1:42 pm by Demetri | 7389 views | 35 replies

I have a similar issue on an update page with dynamic dropdowns

I did set up the database table as a combined table, as shown in the help

Then i did the following:

1) Set Parent List Values from recordset for the parent list - for the selected ValueI used the binding from the recordset i wanted to update

2) I applied the "Populate List From Array" Behavior to the onChange event of the Parent List

I apply the following Dynamic Drop Down Behaviors to the onLoad event of the body tag:

3) Populate List From Array - Set this up the same way you would for the Parent list form element on change event.

So far it works fine - the correct value gets selected in the parent list and the corresponding values populate the child list

4) Set Selected in list - Target List: Child List List, Value: Useing the binding from the recordset I want to update. But no value in the child list gets selected.

Where did I miss something to get the correct value of the child list selected?
