problem with redirect after updating multiple records with checkbox

Have a page that is populated from a db with WA_Search. Two columns in the results page have checkboxes (all in a repeat region) and I have an update behavior that updates the db with a '1' if the checkbox is checked and 'none or 0' if unchecked. The update is triggered by clicking a button.
I want to redirect back to the search page when the update is triggered, but can't get it to work. When the update is triggered the checkboxes are not changed until a page retry is done or manually go back to the search page and repeat the search.
When I add the redirect page to the update behavior, the search doesn't work and when a person searches, it stays on the search page.

I have attached the results page and the search page.

thanks for your help,
Jim Balthrop
